In May 2010, Paul Grossman, Chief Regional Attorney for the US
Department of Education Office for Civil Rights, made a
presentation at Riverside City College. This
presentation outlined the issues surrounding the return of
Veterans, both active and discharged, to college campuses.
Many of these returning service men and women have experienced
life altering injuries and events during their time at war.
This four part presentation profiles issues and offers insight
and practical suggestions about how to welcome home our wounded
warriors. The presentation, in its entirety, is included
in this module according to the various topics
discussed.
In this section, Paul will introduce the presentation and take a
look at who will be coming to your campus and what expectations
they might have. We hope this is helpful to you, your
administration and faculty, and the college as a whole.
