interpreters. Narrow ruling on ability to
penalize student for no-show. If, as in this case, the student's
habitual no-shows continue without good cause
the burden may be shifted to the student and the announced charges
may be imposed for subsequent, persistent no-shows without running
afoul of the ADA and Section 504. NOTE: You cannot
have a blanket policy for penalization. However, a clear process
with multiple methods for communication and clearly delineated
consequences that the student signs as an agreement may be
acceptable.
