The High Tech Center Training Unit

The HTCTU of the California Community Colleges is a state of the art training and support facility for community college faculty and staff wishing to acquire or improve teaching skills, methodologies, and pedagogy in Assistive Computer Technology, Alternate Media and Web Accessibility.

The Alternate Media Production Center

(ATPC) of the California Community Colleges is the first publicly funded, system-wide resource dedicated to serving the alternate media needs of the largest post-secondary educational system in the world. All community colleges in California have equal access to the media services provided by the ATPC

The Galvin Group, LLC

The Galvin Group provides distance and on-site technical assistance to all 112 community colleges. They maintain website resources,a DSPS Coordinator Directory and several modular self-paced on-line training programs for DSPS Coordinators.

In addition they are currently under contract to evaluate the "Other Disabilites" DSPS reporting category.

DECT Distance Education Captioning and Transcription

The Distance Education Captioning and Transcription grant (DECT) provides CCCs with funding for live and asynchronous captioning and transcription as a means of enhancing the access of all students to distance education courses. Further, the DECT promotes and supports awareness of available funding as a means to support faculty efforts to develop high-quality, media-rich distance learning courses.
