In 2007, the
Chancellor's Office initiated a contract with the Tarjan
Center at the University of California, Los Angeles, a
University Center for Excellence in Developmental
Disabilities.
The OPEN THE DOORS TO COLLEGE project , headed up by the Tarjan
Center in collaboration with colleges and Regional Center and The
California Consortium for Post
Secondary Options for People with Developmental Disabilities was
created in 2008-09.
